Intelligent Cognitive Assistants for Attitude and Behavior Change Support in Mental Health: State-of-the-Art Technical Review

Intelligent cognitive assistant (ICA) technology is used in various domains to emulate human behavior expressed through synchronous communication, especially written conversation. Due their ability use individually tailored natural language, they present a powerful vessel support attitude and change. Behavior change systems are emerging as crucial tool digital mental health services, ICAs exceed effective support, for stress, anxiety depression (SAD), where guide people’s thought processes actions by analyzing affective phenomena. Currently, there no comprehensive review of such from technical standpoint, existing work conducted exclusively psychological or medical perspective. This state-of-the-art tried discern systematize current technological approaches trends well detail the highly interdisciplinary landscape intersections between ICAs, change, health, focusing on text-based SAD. Ten papers with systems, fitting our criteria, were selected.
